Joey Carbery could be set to play his first game in over a year after being named on the bench for Munster's trip to Wales to take on Cardiff Blues. (LIVE on eir sport 1, Friday, Feb 26th from 7.30pm)
Carbery's inclusion on the squad will come as a major boost to Munster as they look to secure their place in this season's PRO14 decider.
The 25-year-old's last appearance came against Ulster on January 3rd last year. It was only his second game since injuring his ankle against Italy in a warm-up match for the 2019 World Cup.
Munster head coach Johann van Graan makes six changes from the team that claimed a hard-fought win over Edinburgh last weekend.
Jack O’Donoghue, who scored the opening try in Murrayfield last weekend, captains the side, with last week's incumbent Billy Holland set to overtake Ronan O'Gara as Munster's second-most-capped player if he is called from the bench.
Also on the bench is former Leinster man Paddy Patterson who is in line to make his first appearance for the senior team at scrum-half.
Nick McCarthy and JJ Hanrahan are named at nine and ten respectively, with Rory Scannell and Damian de Allende in the centre and Shane Daly, Calvin Nash and Mike Haley completing the back three.
Kevin O’Byrne steps into the front row in between James Cronin and John Ryan, with Fineen Wycherley and Jean Kleyn in the engine room.
The back three comprises O'Donoghue, Chris Cloete and Jack O’Sullivan.
