The first-ever European Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) tournament, featuring fighters representing four different European countries is live on eir sport 1 on Sunday, August 1.
Fighters from Spain, France, Italy and Ireland will meet in in one-day lightweight tournament with the winner's country earning an entry in the annual 'Copa Combate' in December.
Ireland will be represented by Patrick “The Leech” Lehane, who is the youngest competitor in the tournament field, with the Cork native making his professional debut at the event.
Sebastian Santana Guedes, who has five wins in his eight-fight career, will represent Spain, with Maxime “L’Animaux” Giacalone carrying the hopes of France, while undefeated Gianluca “Django” Rocca is the Italian competitor.
Spain's Tommy “The Spaniard” Aaron and Jean Marc “Kokito” Howell (13-5), representing The Netherlands will go head-to-head in the reserve bout.
Each semi-final but will be comprised of one, five-minute round, while the championship fight will see the competitors battle it out over three, five-minute rounds.
Should either of the semi-final stage bout winners be physically unable to advance to the championship stage of the tournament due to injury sustained, the winner of the reserve bout will take their place.

Action will get underway on eir sport 1 at 7.30pm on Sunday, August 1.
