Diego Maradona’s reputation as the greatest footballer of his generation was sealed at the 1986 World Cup in Mexico, a tournament he dominated like no other player has before or since.

It was a tournament full of sublime moments, most of which were created by the genius of the Argentine, as football’s greatest showpiece returned to the high altitude conditions of Mexico for the second time in 16 years.
