Duncan Weir set to rejoin Glasgow

Glasgow Warriors' alleged interest in signing emerging Munster out half Ben Healy appears to be over with news that Scottish international Duncan Weir is set to rejoin the club ahead of next season.

Experienced campaigner Weir left the Warriors in 2016 after six seasons at Scotstoun to join rivals Edinburgh, before heading south to join Aviva Premiership side Worcester two years later.

Capped 28 times at international level, Weir will be a strong addition to the Glasgow squad which has lost a string of key players over the past few seasons, including such high-profile names as Finn Russell and Stuart Hogg.

The club was rumoured to be interested in signing Scotland-qualified Healy following a series of excellent performances earlier this season.

However, that interest may now have cooled following Weir's signing.
