Munster and Connacht teams named

Munster and Connacht have named their teams for Friday's Rainbow Cup clash at Thomond Park (LIVE on eir sport 1 from 5.30pm).

Munster are unbeaten in their two games so far following wins over Leinster and Ulster in rounds one and two, while Connacht will be looking to bounce back from a heavy defeat to Leinster at The Sportsground last weekend following their opening day win over Ulster.

Munster head coach Johann van Graan has made nine changes to the starting XV who took the field against Ulster last time out, with Matt Gallagher coming in for his first start since injuring his shoulder in November. 

Other changes include Ben Healy and Craig Casey at half-back, Rhys Marshall at hooker, Jean Kleyn and Billy Holland in the engine room and James Cronin in the front row.

Conor Murray is set to make his 150th appearance for the province off the bench.

Connacht coach Andy Friend has elected to make six changes to his pack following a disappointing showing last week, while Kieran Marmion replaces Caolin Blade at scrum-half.

Munster: Matt Gallagher, Andrew Conway, Dan Goggin, Damian de Allende, Shane Daly, Ben Healy, Craig Casey, James Cronin, Rhys Marshall, John Ryan, Jean Kleyn, Billy Holland, Gavin Coombes, Peter O'Mahony (c), CJ Stander.

Replacements: Niall Scannell, Dave Kilcoyne, Stephen Archer, Tadhg Beirne, Jack O'Donoghue, Conor Murray, Joey Carbery, Keith Earls.

Connacht: John Porch, Sammy Arnold, Sean O'Brien, Tom Daly (c), Alex Wootton, Conor Fitzgerald, Kieran Marmion, Paddy McAllister, Shane Delahunt, Dominic Robertson-McCoy, Niall Murray, Ultan Dillane, Cian Prendergast, Conor Oliver, Abraham Papali'i.

Replacements: Dave Heffernan, Denis Buckley, Finlay Bealham, Eoghan Masterson, Sean Masterson, Caolin Blade, Jack Carty, Peter Sullivan.
