Munster have been hit by more injury woes after announcing that full-back Shane Daly had suffered a thigh injury and will miss the PRO14 campaign opener against Scarlets in Wales on Saturday (LIVE on eir sport 1 from 2.30pm).
The exciting young prospect impressed in the full-back role last season but now joins international scrum-half Conor Murray on the sidelines for the game against the 2017 champions.
Daly was forced off with the injury during Munster's 40-12 pre-season victory over Connacht at Thomond Park last weekend.
Meanwhile, Murray continues his recovery from his thigh injury, with Craig Casey set to deputise behind the scrum on Saturday. It is unclear if Murray will be fit for the resumption of Ireland's Six Nations campaign against Italy at the Aviva on Otober 24th.
Johann van Graan finds himself short of options in the loose-head department as Liam O'Connor joins Dave Kilcoyne on the sidelines after picking up a calf injury in training.
However, there is some good news as winger Andrew Conway has resumed full training after completing his return to play protocols following the head injury he suffered in the semi-final defeat to Leinster earlier this month.
