Munster and Ireland legend Peter Stringer has been singing the praises of number eight Gavin Coombes following his performance in last weekend's 22-10 victory over Edinburgh at Murrayfield.
The 23-year-old has established himself as a key member of the Munster squad this season as they look to land their first silverware in a decade.
Johann van Graan's side are currently nine points clear of Connacht at the top of Conference B and look odds-on to reach their first PRO14 decider since 2017.
Speaking on eir sport, Stringer was full of praise for the Young Munster man who scored his seventh try of the campaign on Saturday to cap a superb all-round performance.
The former Ireland and Munster scrum-half pointed to Coombes strength, composure and game awareness as key contributors in maintaining the run which has seen them lose just once all season.
