Johann van Graan hailed Munster's performance in their 38-27 win over Cardiff Blues in the Guinness PRO14.
Rugby fans were treated to an enthralling encounter for the first Monday night game in the Guinness PRO14 with the Reds prevailing in an eight-try thriller to maintain their unbeaten start to the 2020-21 season.
Van Graan was full of praise for the way in which both sides attacked the game but was delighted with how his players came together over the course of the 80 minutes.
"I think it was a fantastic start to Monday night rugby for the PRO14, two quality sides who kept going for the 80 minutes. Credit to Cardiff, they had some pretty good rugby on display and credit to our team, I think we did some brilliant things tonight," van Graan told eir sport.
"You asked me before what we wanted and I said performance and I think we have a lot to work on but we have a lot to be happy with on that performance. Some of tries we scored were pretty special, we had to work exceptionally hard in the first half and we didn't convert all of the opportunities but we had some lovely moments in the second half and a real 23 man effort."
Captain Billy Holland was pleased to get the bonus point win and move to the top of Conference B on the back of a strong performance.
“We had better continuity in attack, we moved the ball a lot more, there were some great offloads and some good running lines,” he told eir sport.
“The conditions hadn't been good in the first two games of the season so it is a lot more difficult to do that and I think we made the right decisions at the right time. It was a beautiful night for a game of rugby.
“Eight tries all around, five from ourselves and some of the ones we conceded we weren't happy with, but we were up against a good side and we will take the five points and move on.
